So, most of you know how terrible I am at taking pictures of cakes, life, my kids, etc!!! But, I am offering all of you out there a deal that I think is pretty good! From now on, if you purchase an Ice This Cake and email me a picture of your cake that I can use to post on my blog I will in exchange give you $5.00 off your next purchase. I will even allow this to work for those who have ordered cakes in the last six months who have not sent me a picture of a cake. Also, if I have done a birthday cake for you before and you allow me to create another birthday cake for your or someone special in your life I will also give you $5.00 off your new order!! Just mention this posting when you contact me and I will add the discount.

Happy New Year!

What a crazy past couple of month this has been for our family! We had a wild Christmas vacation that included spending 15 hours in the car with two little ones to only drive 14o miles through the worst blizzard to hit Virginia in years to being homeless and living with family for six weeks to finally buying our first home! We are so excited to have our own place to call home and I am ready to start the remodeling downstairs to hopefully open up the "Ice This" storefront soon...and to buy furniture to fill up all of our rooms.
Since we moved in two weeks ago my phone has been ringing off of the hook for cake orders and I am so overwhelmed and excited! God has blessed me so much and I am so glad to be able to share this gift with new friends all over. For those of you that didn't know, I was contacted by Graceland in December to compete for the birthday cake for Elvis Presley's 75th birthday celebration. Unfortunately, a local Memphis baker won but what a huge honor to be one of only four bakers selected! But, since we moved in our house only three days before the event took place I was glad to not be totally stressed out! Thanks to all of you who voted for me anyway and hopefully the word got out to a few more locals about my business.
I hope to have new pictures up soon of some of the fun cakes I have going out over the next couple of weeks...and maybe a picture or two of my sweet little boys! They are the reason I do what I do.
